This secluded cottage, one of a pair, is situated in a beautiful, tranquil valley
at the southwest end of Arran. The cottage stands in a sheltered spot on the north bank of (and
just twenty yards from) the Sliddery Water, which is one of Arran's salmon streams. It is located
between the coastal road and the coast, about a quarter of a mile from the sea, and provides an ideal
base for the many holiday activities that Arran has to offer. The cottage faces
southwest, so visitors can enjoy views down-stream out to sea from the front, and up the lightly
wooded valley towards rolling hills from the back.
The cottage is fully, if simply, equipped for up to six people; it is
not suitable for more than six. Visitors need only take sheets, pillowcases and tea towels.
Electricity is provide via a meter which accepts one pound coins.
There are three bedrooms, two with double beds and the other with two single beds;
duvets are provided. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a living room with colour television.
The cottage also has a small walled garden at the front and an area of enclosed field at the side and
rear.
A weeks holiday at Burnside Cottage costs between £250 and £270; £100 is payable immediately after
booking whilst the balance should be paid one month before your holiday.
