Liz Hull trained as a primary school teacher and spent her working life teaching infants and juniors at various schools in South Essex. For several years she also kept a number of hives of bees and it was her interest in their intelligent methods of communication which led to this book being written. Liz is also a keen church bellringer and an avid golfer. Since retiring from full-time teaching she has also taken up painting.
