The car ferries to Arran are operated by Caledonian MacBrayne and leave from Ardrossan in North Ayrshire several times a day. If you are bringing your car, remember to book using either of the telephone numbers below.
Glasgow Prestwick Airport is only a few miles south of Ardrossan and there are rail links to Kilwinning where you can change for Ardrossan.
Glasgow International Airport again is only 45 minutes from Ardrossan by car and only 1 hour by rail . Link to the ferry from the rail station at Paisley Gilmour Street Station.
If travelling by rail, there is a direct service to Ardrossan Harbour from Glasgow Central Station which takes approximately 1 hour.
Using public transport, when you arrive at Brodick, the local buses leave from the ferry terminal and most of the drivers are kind enough to stop on request. By car, turn left leaving the pier and follow the A841 through Lamlash and then on through Whiting Bay. The coastal road takes you another 8 miles to Kilmory. The Torrylin Creamery is on the left, then Kilmory Primary School. The Lodge Bunkhouse and Hall are facing you before you descend the steep hill into Lagg.
