The UKAIS is a forum which aims to support those involved in information systems teaching and research. Membership is open to 'any individual who has taught or undertaken research into information systems'. The Academy aims to provide its members with opportunities to enhance their teaching and research, meet other people in the UK with similar interests and keep up to date on the key issues in their field.

As a member of the UKAIS, you will be entitled to discounts on Academy events such as the PhD Consortia, Supervisors' Workshops and Annual Conference. In addition, the following discounts are available for personal subscription to information systems journals:

  • European Journal of Information Systems: £75
  • Information Systems Journal: £44 (2002 price)
  • Journal of Information Technology: POA
  • Journal of Strategic Information Systems: $64
  • Systems Research: POA

Membership Fees

The current annual membership fees are:

  • Full Membership: £30
  • Student and Retired Membership: £15

To join the UKAIS, the appropriate payment should be sent to Steve Smithson at the London School of Economics, and should either be accompanied by a completed written application form or an application using the on-line form.
